Method:

Fill a jar you have sterilised with 2 tablespoons of your rose / marigold petals and slowly pour the almond oil over them. Once the jar is full (leave an inch at the top), seal it and leave in the sun for 5 days (15 in the winter as it wil be cooler)

Once the time has elapsed, strain the oil off during the warmest part of the day, squeezing the petals to get all the oil out. Place the oil in a double boiler, stirrling continuously. Add a tablespoon of beeswax 1 tsp honey, 1 tsp vanilla extract, tsp vitamin e oil, and 1 tsp aloe vera gel.

All you need to make your very own herbal bath soak is the following: -

Thyme Herbal Bath Soak

  • Dried thyme
  • Small square of cheesecloth.
  • Small amount of raw oats

To create your bath bags, simply place a sprig of dried thyme in a 10 inch square piece of cheesecloth. Add in a small amount of oats as this will help soften the bath water. Tie the top of the bag with some string, and either hang it underneath the tap as you draw your bath or leave it to float in the bath with you.

This will create an incredibly environmentally friendly and natural herbal bath soak which will soften your skin and relax sore muscles. The cheesecloth bag can be re-used to reduce landfill, and the thyme and any leftover oats can be composted.
